Remembering Kirstie Alley – A Life Well Lived

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of US actor Kirstie Alley at the age of 71.
Known for her roles in such films as Cheers, Drop Dead Gorgeous, and Look Who’s Talking, Alley was
a beloved figure in the entertainment industry and will be remembered fondly by all those whose
lives she touched.

Kirstie Alley began her career as a fashion model before making her acting debut on Broadway in
1977. From there, she went on to appear in numerous television shows and movies, including ‘Taxi’, ‘Cheers’, ‘Look Who’s Talking’ ; and ‘Drop Dead Gorgeous’. She quickly rose to fame due to her
comedic timing and talent for bringing characters to life.
In 1991, Alley was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series
for her role on ‘Cheers’. She also won two Golden Globe Awards – one for Best Actress in a Television
Series Musical or Comedy (1991) and one for Best Supporting Actress (2002). In 1995, she was
awarded the prestigious Hollywood Walk of Fame Star.
Alley also enjoyed success as a businesswoman. In 1999 she co-founded Organic Liaison, an organic
weight loss program designed to help people achieve balanced health through diet and lifestyle
changes. This venture launched her into the world of entrepreneurship which resulted in several
other successful businesses including “Kirstie’s Kitchen” which specialized in vegan soup delivery
services.

A Legacy Of Kindness And Generosity

Beyond being an accomplished entertainer and entrepreneur, Kirstie Alley was widely known for
being an incredibly generous person who often gave back to those less fortunate than herself.
Throughout her career she donated large sums of money to charities such as The Children’s Miracle
Network Hospitals, Make-A-Wish Foundation, St Jude Children’s Hospital and many more. She also
regularly volunteered at homeless shelters across Los Angeles County during the holidays. Her
devotion to helping others earned her countless awards from various charities throughout her
lifetime.
Kirstie Alley will be remembered not only as an iconic actor but also as a kindhearted philanthropist
who used her talents and resources to make a positive impact on those around her. Her passing is a
great loss but we are grateful that we were able to experience even a fraction of the joy she brought
into this world during her lifetime. May she rest peacefully knowing that she has left behind a legacy
