He passed away in the late afternoon of October 12, 1997, when his aircraft, Rutan Long-EZ, dashed into  Monterey Bay near Pacific Grove, California. He was the plane’s only person.

2. Randy Rhoads

Randy Rhoads was a heavy metal guitarist who was also the father of the rock band Quiet Riot and even served as guitarist and co-songwriter for Ozzy Osbourne’s first two single albums. He lost his life in a plane crash when he was on tour with Osbourne in Florida in 1982.

3. Kyu Sakamoto

Kyu Sakamoto was a famed Japanese actor and talented singer. He is well known for his legendary hit song titled; Ue o Muite Arukō” which sold over 13 million plus copies worldwide. Kyu passed away on August 12, 1985, in the deadly crash of Japan Airlines Flight 123. Moreover, there are also 519 more members on board the plane.

4. Stevie Ray Vaughan

Stevie Ray Vaughan was a good frontman of the blues rock trio group known as Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble. In August 1990, Vaughan and four others were slain in a helicopter crash at East Troy, Wisconsin, after giving excellent performance with Double Trouble in the Alpine Valley Music Theatre.

6. Aaliyah

Aaliyah is one of the Famous Celebrities Killed in Plane Crashes, he was only 22 when she passed away in the crash of a twin-engine Cessna 402 on a fateful day on August 25, 2001. After shooting a music video, she and eight other people went to board the chartered Cessna for a flight from the Bahamas to the state of Florida. On the other hand, the airplane only crashed and killed all aboard, including her.

7. Glen Miller

The famed swing-era band player disappeared over the English Channel on December 15, 1944. The airplane took off from Twinwood Airfield, around 50 miles north of London. They were taking the route to Paris, where Major Miller, age 40, was going to make some musical arrangements to bring his Army band to entertain the hardworking American troops.

8. Patsy  Cline

The famed Country singer Patsy Cline ago 30, and three others lost their life deadly in a crash of a Piper Comanche on March 5, 1963. He was on her way back to her home in Nashville, Tennessee, after performing at Kansas City, Kansas. . The investigators blamed the pilot for the deadly crash.

9. Jim Reeves

The famed Country singer Jim Reeves died in a crash similar to Cline’s, except that Reeves was flying his aircraft by himself in this case. The singer is well remembered for giving hits like “Four Walls,” passed from Batesville, Arkansas, on July 31, 1964, and their journey to Nashville. He was in control of his sole engine, Beechcraft 35-B33 Debonair.

10. Ricky Nelson

The deceased Singer Ricky Nelson became known for being the child of  Ozzie and Harriet Nelson and appeared himself at his parents’ shows. He was slain on December 31, 1985, when his airplane, a 1944 Douglas DC-3 that he bought for use as a tour airplane, tried to emergency landing due to a raging fire in the interior of the plane.
