1. Person Raised by Books

His parents divorced in 1980, so he stayed with his father, brother, and sister. During some of his interviews, Elon recalled that he always used to read stacks and stacks of books as a child.

2. Created a video game at the age of 12

Elon Musk was a creative guy since his childhood. He always had an interest in science fiction, which resulted in him creating a video game, Blastar at age 12. He wrote the computer programming for the game.

His game was similar to a Japanese shooting video game, Space Invaders. Later, his game was published by a South African company that even paid Elon $500 for its source code.

3. Dropped Out of Stanford

At the age of 17 years old, Elon Musk moved to Canada from South Africa with his mother, sister, and brother. In Canada, he studied at Kingston University for two years. Later, he got his two bachelor’s degrees in physics and economics at the University of Pennslyvania.

Elon decided to pursue a Ph.D. in applied physics at Stanford University in California. However, he didn’t finish his education and dropped out to start his business, Zip2 Corporation with his brother.

4. Ran a nightclub to pay rent

When Elon used to study at the University of Pennsylvania, he used to live with his roommate, Andeo Ressi. During that time, they rented a huge house which was later, converted into a nightclub.

They converted that house into a nightclub in order to pay their rent bills. Some online resources have reported that the house could hold more than 1,000 people.

5. Opened a school to teach his kids

Elon established the school to provide his children with an education based on unique project-based learning experiences. The unique factor of the school is it does not have any grading system. Even though 400 families have applied to the school, the school has only 50 students.

6. Made appearances in Hollywood movies and sitcoms

Elon often mentions that he is inspired by the American rapper, Kanye West. He has been praising Kanye in every interview for four years. In 2015, he even included the biography of Kanye in Time magazine’s list of the 100 most influential people.

8. His Son is named X Æ A-XII

10. Controversial Person when it comes to Twitter

Elon Musk is known as a controversial person for his provocative tweets like Donald Trump on Twitter. He has been in several controversies throughout his career. During the covid pandemic,  Elon tweeted to deliver more than 1,000 ventilators to hospitals in California. However, those ventilators were never received by many hospitals.

Not only this but when the members of a boys’ soccer team in Thailand were trapped in a cave in July 2018, Elon had some engineers working on a liquid transfer tube that could travel through the water in that cave. The government of Thailand found his vessel to be impractical and the British Cave diver as a “PR stunt.” Elon quickly responded by tweeting that the diver was “a pedo guy”.
